Independent examinations

Charities have many statutory requirements to comply with which takes time from the important work of the charity.

Many charities fall into the requirements to have an independent examination and we are able to offer advice on these requirements and complete the independent examination.

We have many years of experience within the charity sector, which enables us to provide specific help and advice relevant to charities.  We are able to work with you to take the worry of the statutory requirements and enable you to concentrate on the work of the charity.

If your income is over £250,000 you will need an independent examination carried out by a registered auditor and we are able to provide this service.  If your income increases and you cross the audit threshold we can then complete the audit for you.

We are here to help through all your statutory needs ensuring you have the time to devote to running your charity.

The audit regime is changeable and many charities no longer require audits and only require independent examinations.  Charities with income of more that £500,000 will require an audit and smaller charities may require an audit for other reasons such as to provide comfort to a bank or to provide comfort to the management.  Some will be required to carry out an audit by their constitution.

Whatever the reason for the audit we are able to help charities meet these requirements.  When our audit work is complete we will have reviewed the financial and management systems and will discuss and issues found with management.  We are also look to identify any areas of weakness of opportunities for fraud and will be happy to discuss out findings fully with you.

We may be able to offer further advice to help the charity in other systems or areas.

Gift-aid claims

Gift aid is a great source of income for many charities and we are able to help you complete the registration to be able to reclaim gift aid and to complete the gift aid returns.

We are here to help you with the gift aid claims ensuring you have the time to devote to running your charity.
